PRODUCT DESCRIPTION/ INTRODUCTION:
MOBIDERM AUTOFIT garments are a range of adjustable mobilizing devices for the treatment of edema.
This range is available in several models:
Armsleeve with mitten
Thigh-high (ambidextrous)
Below-knee (ambidextrous)
The garments are composed:
On the internal surface, of MOBIDERM technology consisting of foam blocks (polyurethane for the big blocks and/or polyethylene for the small blocks) encased between two sheets of non-woven material (polyester, acrylic adhesive mass);
On the external surface, of two beige-colored, soft, elastic materials (polyester, cotton, elastane, polyamide) and hook-and-loop fasteners (PVC, polyamide, polyurethane), allowing the garment to be adjusted to limb volume. Two sizes of foam block are used depending on the body area treated: small blocks (5 x 5 mm) on the hand and foot, big blocks (15 x 15 mm) on the leg and arm.
Mechanism of action
MOBIDERM AUTOFIT garments provide:
compression by applying pressure to the limb, thus promoting the circulation of lymph and helping to maintain or reduce swelling.
subcutaneous drainage via MOBIDERM technology consisting of foam blocks positioned randomly between two sheets of non-woven material. In contact with the skin, the blocks provide a pressure differential between the contact area beneath them and their periphery, creating multi-directional circulation channels for lymph under the skin. The lymph travels from the areas pressed by the blocks towards the free areas. Efficient lymph drainage and circulation is thus promoted. The garments are designed to be worn day and night.
